The same type experience happens every Sunday night when Cheryl and I make our weekly Wal Mart trip. I am thinking I may need to do this more often.

Still, we seem to suffer from blues by association. The mood of the national economy has certainly impacted the mood of our community. Even those who have a job are worried. Perhaps you have experienced similar media-induced moods where you live.
Ben Reed is our Director of Community Groups. One of the best decisions we have made, as a church is to take a chance on a young man who had no experience in this area, wasn’t yet finished with seminary, and wasn’t really looking for this type of position. Still, Ben has an incredible heart, he’s extremely mature, and he’s the type of guy an organization is smart to grab before someone else does.
Men and women are vastly different. Have you figured that out yet?

What are you most afraid of today? Could a greater faith help you rise above that fear?
Organizations hardly ever replace their leadership with the same type of leadership they currently have. When a leader leaves the organization, they look for an almost opposite to what they had in a leader. I’ve observed this trend over the years. It’s true at every level of society. School systems, churches, governments, universities, corporations, and non-profits all do this in relatively the same way.
If I had to give one piece of advice to parents, especially dads, it would be that you live an honest life in front of your children. I have witnessed too many parents, dads especially, who try to impress their children with their skills or their strength
The line between extending freedom and controlling the actions of your child is unclear at times. I know many parents who have crossed that line too far either way, either controlling so much that the child rebels or giving so much freedom that the child runs wild. Frankly, I’m still learning. Recently I posted on my need for others to invest in me. This is one area in which I continue to need wisdom.
Is it production or process? In terms of which is more important in your work, is it production or process? In other words, is the end product being produced well more important than enjoying the process of working towards an end product or vice-versa?
Today you can accept His gift of love. Regardless of who you are, what you’ve done, or how desperate you feel, know right now that God, the awesome Creator, has a real, intimate, and deep love for you!
