Biblical Principle on Writing Vision

By July 20, 2013Church, Leadership

And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

(Habakkuk 2:2, 3 ESV)

Obviously this is a specific vision…God’s revelation, but the application is the same.

Keep it simple.

Make it timeless.

Does that sound like your vision?

Great reminder Ron. I am currently re-evaluating my personal vision. I will have to make sure I keep this in mind.

Make it memorable! I cringe when I see some vision statements a paragraph long. A rallying cry is never a paragraph, and as our vision statements serve as such, neither should they be.
