Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable-if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise-dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:6-8 HCSB)
What are you dwelling on these days?
(By the way, that’s the secret.)
This verse has been rattling around my head for the past two weeks. Whenever I worry, I've REALLY been trying to pray.
A ministry/career curveball was just tossed to me (a good one). Logic and strategy lines up, just need to hear from God on it
Praying for you now.
I started to worry about a situation at work but found words of encouragment here and a few other places. After all, God's ways are higher than ours. It's such a privilege to serve such a great God.
Amen.
Ron! To be frank, it's a difficult proposition to follow on. Worrying less is easy to think; but a tough choice to practice in daily pangs of life. I am not perfect at this. I am learning and getting better at this day by day. Whenever I feel down, I keep reminding myself of the words of Jesus from Matthew 6:27 "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
You're so right.
