If I could give one secret to leaders who want success in leadership it would be this:

Learn people.

I know it sounds too simple, but until you learn the people you are trying to lead you simply can’t lead them well.

  • How they think
  • What they value
  • How they are uniquely wired
  • the way they respond to situations/change/trauma
  • Their unique interests and dreams

Learning the people is the secret to find success in leadership of the people.

Try it. It will work in any setting. In the church, business or home.

New to a leadership role? This is your key to beginning well.

Long-timer in a leadership role? This is what will improve your leadership and make it last.

Of course, you have to love people to truly want to learn who they are. And you have to respond according to what you’re learning, but this is where you start. This is what gives you the tools you need. With this information you can shape your leadership. This is the gold information of leading people.

Learn the people and you can better learn how to lead the people.
