This is what the LORD says: By this you will know that I am the LORD Exodus 7:17
and then you will know that I am the LORD. 1 Kings 20:13
And they will know that I am the LORD… Ezekiel 6:13
Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD… Joel 2:27
I did some reading this week…
It seems God likes to make Himself known…
Throughout the Old Testament, God did thing that caused people know to know He is the Lord…
I don’t find that same phrase in the New Testament…
I do read this:
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8
It makes me wonder..
What am I doing…what are you doing?
In our life…
In our city…
In our church…
In our community…
In our world…
That’s showing people He is the Lord…
As written in 2 Corinthians 5:20, "We are Christ’s ambassadors…………. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.". Being Christ's ambassodors in this earth , we need exhibit his nature in our thoughts, words and action.
And I love that verse!
Wow Ron. In my devotion this morning I was reading Acts 4:1-20 where the Sanhedrin were trying to silence Peter and John. I was impacted by verse 20 when they told the Sanhedrin that they couldn't help but tell about the things they saw Jesus do and heard Jesus say (my paraphrase of course).
I can't help but think how that ties into your study here. If we as Christians keep silent then will God be made known to those who so desperately need him now?
Thanks for always challenging us to go higher and press further with Christ.
I love that passage!
I beleive the best way we can show others who God is, is through our example. It's through action. Great thoughts.
Thanks Dan
