My friend Casey Graham is a game changer. When he is passionate about something, he doesn’t just talk about it, he does something. This past week, Casey’s home state of Alabama was devastated by one of the worst tornado disasters in history. Casey knew that in any disaster, the greatest need is always money, because money allows the team on the ground to do what is necessary to address the greatest needs. Casey went to work. In just 24 hours, this effort has raised over $75,000. You can read more about it HERE. Casey is working through Cross Point Church in Decatur, Alabama.
Casey has set up a leadership team to oversee this process. He’s asked me to be a part of that team. You can read about that HERE.
He’s challenging churches and others to be a part. Read the latest challenge HERE.
There are many great efforts out there. Americans show their generosity during times like this. Casey is attempting to assist people without insurance or under insured. If you’d like to help, click HERE.
What other ways are people helping? Feel free to point people to those ways to support by leaving a comment.
There are so many people in need there right now. My brother has not been able to work since the devastation because of no electricity where he works and there are many more in the same boat. His home was not destroyed so they cannot get any help. There should be some kind of relief fund for the many people who are out of work right now because of this. I feel for everyone going through this. Our home was destroyed by a hurricane years ago but thankfully we had insurance. I personally know people who at that time got money from their insurance company, fema, you name it and my brother is telling me that there are people who cannot get help because there was no or minimal damage to their homes.Lord help and bless all these people who are unable to work because of devastation and no electricity.
Thanks for sharing. Our church stepped up this week. It was amazing.
Ron! It's painful to see America ravaged by natural calamities often.
I agree. We've had our share.
Thank you for doing this, Ron. I was down there the last two days with Crosspoint Nashville in Cullman, Alabama. Parts of town look like a war zone. There's more need than there are people to help right now. I posted some pictures on my jcwert.com website and the pictures are just a small part of what I saw down there.
What a great serving church Crosspoint is.
