Let’s be honest…

It is easier to create a rule than it is to extend grace…

When someone does something wrong…

Grace is not the easy response…

Grace is the harder option…

Grace grants a pardon…

Grace sets a person free…

Grace removes the chains…

People may feel freed to sin again…

People may keep making the same mistakes…

People can abuse grace…

But, the reasons we value grace most…

Also give grace the greatest potential to be messy…

I’ll still prefer grace…

How about you?

Thanks for the reminder and encouragement pastor Ron.

  • It's all unmerited favor that I have received and keep receiving from God. I have faulted many times. But, His compassion and grace has taken me so far.

I feel I need to exhibit this grace in return.

We can be assertive and confront the abusers but grace always heals many wounds in our hearts.

Absolutely messy, but so worth it. And we should give as much grace as we receive. I don’t know about you, but I sure receive a bunch.

I have received far more than I'll ever deserve…as if we ever deserve grace.

I love this. It's something I've been working hard on to teach my 8 year old–Grace is so freeing, and yet our instinctive response is self-preservation when we're wronged. I'm going to read him this post this evening…

    Thanks, Ron!
