Cheryl and I met for dinner tonight.  She discovered her headlight was out, so I drove her car home and she drove mine.  In her CD player was this song.  I write a lot about boys; because that is the children, God gave me.  I would not have it any other way. Still, a part of me always longed for a daughter.  I found myself tearing up through this song as if I understood.  I think if I did have a daughter this is how I would want to feel.

Men, if you are blessed with a “daddy’s girl”, dance with her all you can. Let her know the place she holds in your heart.  Love her deeply and unconditionally, because just like it is with my boys, the time will quickly pass and you will wish you had “danced” more.
