What about "I'm doing okay" – which I usually use when I either don't have time to get into how I'm really doing, or I simply don't trust the person asking.

As it pertains to "I'll be praying about that" I can honestly say it would bother me when people would say it and even more when I said it and quickly realized I forgot to, YIKES!! So I keep a prayer journal. I carry it with me everywhere I go. When someone gives me a prayer request I take the time to write it down. It has been awesome to truly partner in prayer with people and to know that when I say "I'll be praying for you" I really am!!
