Okay, I have to be honest, I’m just being curious with this post…
I tweeted yesterday about the royal wedding and the response was huge. It must be a pretty big deal. In full disclosure, I’m a fan of royalty. Over the years, I’ve followed and studied the monarchy. I’m fascinated by it and in my public management degree I learned a lot about how that form of government works. Royalty is in full attention now, because apparently there are many very interested in the wedding of Prince William and Kate. There’s even a website for complete information HERE (Possibly a few more websites mention the wedding…I don’t know.)
Some have called this the wedding of this century. Â Apparently, this is a couple truly in love.
So, with a royal wedding this week…I have some questions:
Do you care?
Are you following this event?
Will you wake up to view it live?
Could you care less?
Are you a fan of royalty?
What advice would you give the royal couple?
.
I will watch it only if it is replayed during some normal hour for this dayurnal creature. My sister, however, is the process of preparing here 8 course mini meal that is including a tofu turducken. She is staying up all night to watch the wedding. She even got a balloon in honor of a friend of ours who will be seeing Jesus soon.
I'm getting up to watch it live – no small feat as I live on the west coast – alarm set for 2am
I'm not really a fan just think this is a fun way to make a memory with a bunch of friends 🙂
Party on!
Wow! Dedicated!
I really don't care. Frank recorded it out of pure curiosity and I haven't decided if I'll watch it with him or not yet, mostly because I am stubborn and usually don't watch the ultra popular things out of principle. LOL I know, I'm strange. I really DID like Princess Diana though. *sigh*
Ha! Love it!
Yes… It is nice to see something positive ….
Good point
Williams and Middleton's wedding will be the most remarkable so most of the world news papers and t.v. channels are awaiting to capture their wedding events and also this wedding event is a hot topic at least for a month after wedding if she will be participate in some social activities so many people will remember them for their life long i wish both of them have a nice wedding.
I heard a statistic today that 6% of the American population is "greatly interested" in this wedding.
No, I do not feel like watching such ceremonies. To be frank, I am not a fan of royalty. I read the news about royal wedding with all other news but do not follow about them intentionally.
I'm glad I don't live under royalty, but it's fascinating to me from the outside.
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes! I think it has a huge fairy-tale factor that we girls grew up with. It's a prince/princess and happily ever after thing we can watch. I think all of us that watched his mother get married, die and buried will be watching and wishing in our hearts that THIS marriage is much more blessed and successful. I also think the fact that with the evolution of media…how we can now see everything they all do, how they look, where they go, etc. we have more of a familiar feeling toward them, as well as any other public figure or celebrity. That's why we probably have a bit of a feeling of caring more about people we don't know, or will ever know, simply because we see them via tv, computer, print, etc. But, you can bet that even though there's not much that will get me up at 4am, this royal wedding will do it.
I'm not following it, but I plan to check it out on Friday. I am fascinated by the British Monarchy too. I'm a huge fan of Prince William. I think he has his mom's compassion and father's sense of royal duty. I think he will protect Kate better than Prince Charles ever did with Diana. The fact that Prince Charles didn't pressure him into getting married, I think shows Charles has some remorse.
I would really like to see Prince William become King. That would be cool. I don't care if Prince Charles becomes King. I hope he abdicates and let it fall to William. Because Queen elizabeth may not go anywhere for another 20 years!
Yea, I think he'd make a good king.
Oh, yes, I am definitely watching the Royal Wedding. One of my favorite childhood memories is getting up in the middle of the night to watch Charles & Diana's wedding with my mom. I've told my kids they can have the day off school Friday if they want to get up at 3am and watch it with me.
I watched part of the Charles & Diana wedding…I think…I was dating someone in college at the time and that's what she wanted to do. Don't remember much about it though…
To be honest, I could care less about the wedding. I'm ready for some real news. But if I could give them advice, I would be sure to tell them to make sure they take time for each other. They are going to be busy and distracted. They need to cling to the moment that they fell in love.
