I saw a news report on this recently. I laughed. No pun intended.
There are clubs like this around the world. Laughing yoga has become somewhat of an institution. In fact, there’s an International Laughing Yoga association. See it HERE. Go to YouTube and you’ll see all kinds of reports on laughing yoga.
Here’s an excerpt CNN did recently:
What do you think?
Do you buy into the benefits of “fake” laughter?
BTW, I’m thinking we may try this at our next staff meeting. We are laughing anyway…may as well call it something! Ha! In fact…Ha! Ha! Ha!
Give me your thoughts on laughing yoga!
I do yoga daily. Yoga is the best way to reduce health problems. It creates an inner peace and keep away negative emotions like anger and anxiety. It works miraculously but I never did laughter yoga, I would love to give it a try. http://www.healthandsoul.com/laughter-yoga-for-ma…
I guess the muscles used in laughter (fake or real) get exercised. I just feel better after real laughter.
I'm thinking I may give it a try…
Personally, I am doubtful about the benefits of “fake” laughter. But, I am intentional about reading jokes / watching comedies and laughing 'naturally'. I feel one should never lose the sense of humor in their life.
I had question too, but we do tend to place ourselves in situations to make ourselves laugh…I guess there is a similarity there.
Personally, I believe laughing is wonderful. After all, you can’t frown or be in a bad mood if you are laughing. Right? Now, to fake laughter. Well now, that may be stretching the laughter thing.
But if it works… who is laughing all the way to the bank? That’s right the laughing yoga dudes.
Thanks.
Thanks! Good point

I think it is great! I'm getting certified next month and will be using it weekly with my staff.
Let me know how it goes!
