We Are All Different…Diversity Week 1

I’m doing some fun posts over the weekend in 2011 aimed at engaging my readership, but also learning from each other. One thing that has occurred to me more in recent years is how different we all are.  God must love variety, because He created us all unique.

With that in mind, for the next few weeks I want to point out some of those differences.  Each week, I’ll ask a few questions that have differences of opinions or preference.  The more comments…the more we get to see our differences.

Here are this week’s questions:

  • If you had to choose, do you prefer salty or sweet?
  • Would your first choice be dark chocolate or milk chocolate?
  • What is your favorite style of music?
  • What style of music do you dislike the most?
  • Would you rather read the book or watch the movie?

Go!  Answer these 5 questions and let’s see there are two sides to every opinion.

If you have ideas for this series of ways I could explore differences, let me know.

Sweet.
Milk chocolate.
Music - tough one! I like rock, jazz, classical, and all in between. If I have to go for one, then I'll opt for Christian Rock.
I struggle to listen to rap music the most.
Book or movie is a mood thing, I think? Going to go with a book.

Dark
Bluegrass
Hip Hop
Read a Book
salty
Milk Chocolate
Worship
Rap
Watch the movie
1) Sweet
2) Dark Chocolate (but pretty much all chocolate is good stuff!)
3) Techno/Trance (DJ Dave Pearce spins some good stuff)
4) Country
5) Watch the movie (as a kid, I read books, but now I read comics)
1. sweet
2. dark chocolate, than milk chocolate, (white chocolate isn't chocolate cause its white)
3. classical, Celtic, instrumental, contemporary, christian rap (TOBY MAC!!!)
4. anything with a lot of electric or annoying bass - heavy metal, rap when I can't understand the words or its just not appropriate, and jazz
5. watch the movie
Sweet
Milk
80's
That screechy music where you can't understand anything, they're just screaming into the microphone (insert eye roll)
Read the book and then cross my fingers that the movie won't trash the heart of the book.

1) Definitely sweet; I have a whole set of sweet teeth.

2) Dark; I like the bitter chocolate.

3) 90s Pop-Rock

4) Country and Hip Hop are virtually tied.

5) Read the book of course
1. Mostly depends. If I've had a lot of sweet, I want salt and vice versa.
2. Dark - it's healthy you know.
3. Rock/jazz
4. Rap, Rap, Rap
5. Movie
salty
dark chocolate
Classical / Christian
Rock
read the book
1-Both
2-77% Dark (I can tell the difference if it's not)
3-Christian ranges from worship to rock
4-Metal gives me a headache and I'm not into gangsta (or equivalent hard core) rap
5- Depends on the story...but I'm always up for a good action/adventure action/fantasy movie especially if I've enjoyed the book.
