Cast Your Net…A devotional

By September 22, 2013September 14th, 2019Devotional, Encouragement, God

“Cast the net on the right side of the boat,” He told them, “and you’ll find some.” So they did, and they were unable to haul it in because of the large number of fish. (John 21:6)

Cast your net on the right side!

The disciples had struggled all night and caught nothing.

Suddenly a voice cried out to them, “throw the nets on the right side“. When they did they were unable to haul in the catch.

The disciples were given a visual reminder.

They should never forget that on the right side of the boat is where the fish are going to be found.

And where is the “right side” in life?

The right side is where Jesus is!

The right side is where the Creator and Sustainer of all is located. The right side is where you and I find the hope of the world. The right side is the place of grace.

Are you casting the net of your life on the right side of the boat?

If you’re having a tough time right now with life could it be your casting your net on the wrong side of the boat?

Throw your net on the right side today!

Choose Jesus! Choose His way. Choose to obey.

No comments.just searching all chrtian apps for clarity, and how to discern the father’s/holy spirit’s voice, I’m not sure is impatience,or something in that line, I’m also using communion on a daily basis.

Hi,Ron, how would you know your net is on the right side, I’ve invited Jesus several times, but still struggling to catch that fish I so desperately need.l even flare prayer basically on a daily basis, but still sometimes feel l don’t do enough, and started being frustrated,as U said we all have a former life, sometimes l feel some must do more than others.the reason why I asked this questions,is l was told in my spirit one morning, the exact words of Mathews 6:33, because l had a very ungodly lifestyle before.& was so much confused after that massage, and started doing something about it, prior to this,l had a stroke, which left my left-side paralyzed,no more working, but living from a government grant, the the thoughts of not asking God how to seek him, make me doubt alot, I’m baptized, and study the bible on my own, it’s more or less than 3yrs now,and my past life play a constant role in my thoughts.
