The more dependent you on achieving other people’s approval…

The less willing you’ll be to follow God’s will at any cost…

“but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.” 1 Thessalonians 2:4

  1. Even so,.. we are to esteem others better than self ~ honor others above ourselves(Php2:3),.. serve others as an example(Gal5:13),…treat people with kindness and gentleness(Col3:12). The goodness of the Lord leads to repentance(Rom2:4) His gentleness makes us great(Ps18:35)

  2. Agreed Ron! Galatians 1:10 puts it rightly "Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ."
