President Obama Appears on Leno

Did you watch President Obama on Leno?  What do you think?

It’s interesting to me that a president will put himself this openly in front of people. This is certainly a new day in politics. In our country’s history there was a day when we would not have seen the leader of the country in such a casual setting.  I personally  admire the leadership principle that appears more approachable and real, but I also know that when a leader does he or she opens the door to criticism.  Obviously this president is very popular at this point.  Will this last for him, in your opinion?  Does appearing on Leno help or hurt his chances to maintain his high approval ratings?

What do you think?

I heard all of it but didn’t see it. Just by listening to his voice change with each question he did not reassure me that things were better. His tone seemed to hide certain things. My wife Karen watched all of it and wasn’t convinced on a lot of things either. I think the economy will turn around but I personally feel he should be straightening out Congress. I thinks it is great that he could go on TV and speak to the world but there are better things he could be doing with his time. I love reading your blog by the way.

I personally think he’s an idiot. His bowling score is so low it’s “like the Special Olympics or something”. Nice. What a GREAT advocate we have in the White House. His speech writer wrote up an apology for him. That’s great. I think he should show up at a few Special Olympics events. I bet there’s a bunch of bowlers out there who could beat him. Just my 2 cents… for what it’s worth.

I admire your courage Ron. This could easily turn in to a very heated thread. A lot of Christians could care less about what a great guy Obama is and are far more concerned with what his anti-biblical policies will bring on this nation.

I liked it. Agree or disagree with him on issues. At least he is trying to reach out and relate to the country.

I watched it last night and also liked that he is being more open with the country. It was good to see him in a casual setting… talking March Madness brackets and all. It’s nice to know we have a REAL person in the White House. I think his appearance only helps his approval rating. He did a great job answering the Geithner questions too. He held himself accountable and lifted up Geithner in the process. That was much needed right now I think.
